Sunshine Coast Single Detached Home Sales by Price Range Over $1 million

With prices rising on the SC due to supply and demand, cheap money, speculation, rising assessments, etc., homes that had been priced in the $700,000 to $999,999 were pushed into the price ranges above $1 million. This goes a long way in explaining the increase in million dollar property sales beginning April 2016.

I thought it would be interesting to take a closer look at those $1million+ sales by price range. Here are the results for the first two quarterly results for 2018.

Q1: January - March 2018


Q2: April - June, 2018


It is worth noting that these over a million dollars priced properties are going through substantive price drops since the fall of 2017.  For example, 6067 Coracle Drive in Sechelt’s Sandy Hook area which was relisted yesterday now sits at $500,000 less than when it was first listed in October, 2017 (after two price drops).
